Continue to the Grand Palace has no equal and is the "must see" for every visitor to Bangkok. Built by King Rama I in 1782, it was the centre of power more than 150 years. Today it is Bangkok's major landmark. Within the compound is the Temple of The Emerald Buddha-Wat Pra Keo-which houses Thailand most precious image of the Lord Buddha.
