FD Bangkok Floating Market

Description	Start our bicycle exploration of the Mae Klong Delta area at Damnoen Saduak floating market, the biggest and most colourful in Thailand. Starting with a long tail boat ride to Wat Amphawan Chetiyaram, our ride takes us through coconut, aloe vera plantations and fruit orchards. Riding quiet back roads and jeep trails we stop to visit temples and appreciate the countryside. We have a Thai lunch at a riverside restaurant on the banks of the Mae Klong before cycling back to the floating market, to end the trip.

PROFILE This is a gentle 30 kilometre ride along country backroads and is suitable for anyone that can ride a bike. The roads are flat, quiet countryside trails filled with plantations that produce many of mouth watering fruits that Thailand is famous for. We ride as a group, with an experienced cycle guide setting a gentle pace. Stopping often to visit points of interest, we also take the opportunity to sample some of the local food. Our support vehicle follows close behind with plenty provisions. Our guides are knowledgeable on the local area and customs and explain the history, culture and local way-of-life each time we stop.Water, soft drinks and snacks are all included as well as lunch and we supply a Trek mountain bike and helmet.

06.45	Pick up from hotels.
07.30	Drive to Samut Songkram.
08.45	Visit Damnoen Saduak (Floating Market).
09.15	Long tail boat ride through the maze of canals to Wat Amphawan Chetiyaram
10.00	Ride along back roads visiting Ban Khai Noi, Ban Bung before arriving at our lunch stop Suan Rim Nam. (19km)
12.00	Enjoy lunch on the banks of the Mae Klong River
13.00	Ride more back roads back to our start point of the floating market. (13 km)
14.30	Load bikes and visit temple at finish point
14.45	Drive back top Bangkok and drop off at hotels.

Road Surface	This tour follows a mix of asphalt roads, vehicle-width dirt roads. No technical ability is required.
