If you are tired of shopping & spending your hard-earned cash at either (or both) Siam Paragon and Central World, you may want to pop down to Wat Pathum Wanaram temple which is kind of sandwiched between these two mega malls.
The temple also has a garden for meditation, a tranquil green space in the heart of Bangkok to purify your mind from the rat race.
Interestingly the temple also houses the remains of Queen Savang Vadhana and Prince Mahidol, the Grandmother and Father of the late King Bhumipol Adulyadej (Rama IX) in the House of Mahidol (the yellow brick house in the back).
Wat Pathum is open daily from 9 am to 5 pm.
