Because Covid-19 restrictions mean we can not go out and do things we normally take for granted, so people have gotten creative with their lockdown as you probably have seen from many Tik Tok videos. Yesterday I was watching one of my favorite travel bloggers, Paddy Doyle, and he too was feeling a little depressed from having his “Next Level Adventures” come to an end, and now he is “stuck” on the island of Koh Samui.
For me, it’s somewhat different since I have “responsibilities” as a husband and father, which means I’m confined to a 20 kilometers radius, and anything beyond that requires written permission from the missus…… just kidding, but I’m sure you get what I mean.
I had plans to make videos of Ocean World, Madame Tussauds, and many more temples, including Wat Benjamabophit, Wat Trimitr, Ayuthaya historical park, etc. etc. but everything came to an abrupt end. The only things open nowadays are 7 Elevens and petrol stations, perhaps I can do a video on shelves, refrigerators and behind counter staff….. on second thoughts, nah.
Initially, I wanted to make a video titled “Bangkok Misses You” and show you the highlights of Bangkok, but that requires too much work for my ADHD self at the moment, so I decided to make a short 5-minute video of Bangkok’s beautiful temples. So far I have completed 4 videos, and they will go live every fortnight and a 5th video in the planning stages, which means that should go live on 27 September, by that time I’m hoping things will open up by September so I can get back to making more videos.
The following is the first video in the series labeled “A Five Minute – Bangkok Temple Tour”, I hope you enjoy it.
