Black & White, Shadows & Lights

Black and white photography, for me, is less about removing color and more about revealing truth. Without the distraction of hues, light and shadow take center stage—shaping mood, form, and emotion. Each frame becomes an exercise in restraint, where contrast and composition must carry the entire story. It is in these quiet tones that I find a deeper honesty, a way of seeing that feels both timeless and immediate.

Much of my work is rooted in observation—moments that unfold naturally, often unnoticed. I am drawn to the subtle interactions between people, architecture, and light, especially in the shifting rhythms of the street. A gesture, a glance, or the way sunlight cuts across a wall can transform the ordinary into something quietly profound. Black and white allows these fleeting details to resonate, stripping the scene to its essential elements.
